Rosemary Hogan received an A.A. degree from Hannibal-LaGrange College in 1972 and a B.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977. Graduate work was completed at Central Missouri State University and she received her MEd in Adult Education in 1981. Rosemary Hogan has experience in respiratory therapy department management and has been teaching in the field of Respiratory Therapy since 1978. She was the program director for the AS degree program at State Fair Community College from 1977-1983, and the Columbia Public Schools Health Occupations Center's Respiratory Therapy certificate program from 1983-1988. She came to the University of Missouri in 1989 as the Director of Clinical Education and developed the curriculum to include the current externship semester for senior RT students. This externship experience has become a model for Respiratory Therapy education programs. She is currently the Program Director of the MU program and oversees an online degree completion program for Registered Respiratory Therapists and an extension of the MU program in St. Louis. With over twenty-five years of experience in respiratory care education, her areas of expertise lie in nontraditional avenues for adult education and curriculum development. Rosemary and her husband enjoy living in Columbia and are big Tiger fans and supporters of the University of Missouri. When not in the classroom, they enjoy traveling and visiting their three children and their families.
