Department of Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy provides skilled treatment helping individuals achieve independence in day-to-day living and working environments. OTs help children and adults with physical, developmental, social or emotional problems to acquire daily living skills needed to engage in meaningful activities. This includes teaching skills in a new way or providing special equipment or adapting buildings for activities ranging from self care to work, school, leisure and community pursuits.
