Financial Aide Information

•University of Missouri-Columbia Finanacial Aid Office
The best source for financial advisement is the University of Missouri-Columbia's Financial Aid Office . This office is located at 11 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211. (573) 882-7506.
•American Occupational Therapy Association
A Financial Aid Guide published by AOTA is available along with a listing of financial aid resources and scholarships and loan programs.
•The American Occupational Therapy Foundation
Applications for scholarships and loan programs administered through AOTF may be requested from AOTF. Check the website for deadlines or contact AOTF at 4720 Montgomery Lane, P.O. Box 31220, Bethesda, MD 20824-1220.
•School of Health Professions Scholarships
Various scholarships are available from the School of Health Professions . Most are competitive with recipients determined by GPA and financial need. More information can be obtained from the Student Affairs Committee, SHP. (573)882-8011
Missouri Occupational Therapy Association Scholarship
Awarded annually, this MOTA scholarship is given to an occupational therapy student who exhibits academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement. The state association provides application information to the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science annually. The recipient must be a student member of MOTA.
•Stipends/Scholarships/Loans from Potential Employers
Some health care facilities provide stipends or loans ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 annually to senior and sometimes junior level students in return for the student's employment for a specified time (usually 12-24 months) following graduation. Information is available in the OT Office or by contacting potential employers. Students are encouraged to review the AOTA brochure and article from American Journal of Occupational Therapy concerning involvement with recruiters and loan forgiveness/stipend programs offered by employers.
