Students who wish to apply to the program must have completed the general education requirements and be college sophomores in good standing. Certain requirements may be waived for those applicants with a previous bachelor or associate of arts degree.
The application deadline for the Radiography Program is February 1st. Students selected for the program will begin coursework in June. Applicants are considered on a competitive basis each admission period. The selection process is governed by the program's admission committee.
Admission criteria include:
- Completed Radiography Program application packet
- GPA in the required science courses, and other criteria as established by the program
- Overall GPA
- ACT scores
- Completion of the general course prerequisites
- Evidence of interest and knowledge of the field
- Volunteer or observation experiences
- Recommendations and a personal interview
- Admission to University of Missouri-Columbia

The ShaRP Scholars Early Admissions Program
The School of Health Professions has instituted an early admissions program for high school seniors interested in Radiography. Students selected as ShaRP Scholars are guaranteed a position in the program. ShaRP Scholars may change their major within SHRP but will forfeit their Scholar's status unless the receiving program chooses to allow its continuance. Currently enrolled high school seniors will be considered if they:
- Receive an ACT composite score of 30 or higher (SAT of 1340); and,
- Rank in the highest 10 percent of their high school class (subject to interpretation regarding school attended and curriculum); and,
- Return a completed ShaRP Scholars application, including recommendations postmarked on or before December 1st
Selection from within the applicant pool to the ShaRP Scholars program is on a competitive basis. E-mailed or faxed responses will not be accepted; only mailed or hand delivered (by 5:00 p.m. December 1st) application materials will be considered.
