Radiologic Science Degree Completion Program

Students entering the Degree Completion Program in Radiography must have graduated from an accredited program in Radiography, passed the national certifying examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and be in good standing with the ARRT. Those coming from an associate degree program will automatically transfer their credits for the courses in radiography. Students who graduated from a certificate program may apply for advanced standing for any course in radiography in which they received a grade of C or better. Courses for which they received a C may be challenged. If they receive 75% or better on a challenge test, they may apply for advanced standing. Any course in which they received a grade below a C must be repeated at this institution. A maximum of 49 semester credit hours may be obtained through advanced standing courses.

The general education and pre-requisite courses (also shown on the Sample Curriculum) required by the program may be completed at any accredited college/university with the approval of the University of Missouri-Columbia . This approval is intended to ensure that only MU equivalent courses are accepted. At MU this accounts for 54 semester credit hours. Some of these courses can be taken through Independent Study at the University of Missouri-Columbia. To receive a catalogue of courses available, contact The Center for Distance and Independent Study, 136 Clark Hall, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO 65211; 1-800-609-3727; e-mail web address http://cdis.missouri.edu.
