A national research, information, and technical assistance center that evaluates, develops, and promotes accessible and universal design in housing, building, and related products. They also develop publications and instructional materials, provide information and referrals and technical assistance to consumers and professionals. They collaborate with builders and manufacturers on the development of new design solutions.

The Disability Access Coordination Program of the Department of Public Works for the city and county of San Francisco is responsible for plan, site review, code interpretation (including both state and federal regulations), policy development, training and public relations for all DPW Bureaus with regard to disability access code issues. Their site includes access code sheets for San Francisco/California with diagrams, policies and ADA Accessibility Guidelines.

SCI Video Access is a program that loans informational videotapes related to spinal cord injury to individuals with SCI and their families. Videotapes are available on these, and many more, topics: attendant care, wheelchair maintenance, bowel management, autonomic dysreflexia, catheterization, FES, syringomyelia, spinal cord injury, neurogenic bladder, wheelchair basketball, skiing, parenting, wheelchair tennis, home modification, exercise tapes, pressure sore prevention. Individuals must first register with SCI Network. Tapes are sent through the mail and must be returned within 10 days (postage is prepaid). Funded by grant from the PVA, Education and Training Foundation.
