Assistive Technology Outreach Centers
Assistive Technology Outreach Centers are consumer-responsive programs which provide access to assistive technology and related information. Core services provided by the centers include: “hands-on” access to a variety of cross-disability, cross-age assistive technology for demonstration and training purposes; individual advocacy support to assist individuals in obtaining assistive technology; local awareness and other outreach activities; and developing interagency working arrangements that will support the delivery of quality assistive technology services. The centers may also engage in other activities to address local needs based on input from consumers, family members and other interested persons in the community. The following is a list of the Centers and the activities provided at each in addition to the core functions.
