The Department of Communication Science and Disorders offers a bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders (including coursework in speech-language pathology, audiology, and speech and hearing sciences), a master's degree in Communication Science and Disorders with an emphasis in speech-language pathology, and a PhD in Communication Science and Disorders. The Master of Health Science program in Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Missouri-Columbia has been continually accredited in speech-language pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1965.

MU CSD Active at the November ASHA Convention in Philadelphia
CSD Professor and Department Chair, Philip Dale, has been elected an ASHA Fellow, which will be presented at the ASHA Convention. In addition, Dr. Dale will receive the Journal of Speech, Language, Hearing Research Editor's Award for Language. Presentations at ASHA will be given by Dr. Dale, CSD Assistant Professors Stacy Silverman and Barry Slansky, CSD Clinical Supervisor Mary Ann Scheneman, CSD graduate students Meghan Malone and Sadie Shank, as well as CSD Alumna Calesse Phillips. The MU CSD department will also be recruiting and interviewing for a facutly position at the ASHA Convention. Follow this link for the position announcement.
