Service Activities:

  • member of the lymphedema support group
  • host the monthly breast cancer support group.
  • serve as faculty sponsor of adapted gymnastics.
  • teach sign language to the 3rd year students.

Research Interests:
Active with the School Of Nursing in various aspects of lymphedema diagnosis, early intervention and management.

  • RN from Penn Valley
  • Master's in Counseling from UMKC.
  • DPT from Rocky Mountain University

  • Taught at KU before coming here. I'm actually from Columbia - great to be back and to have raised my children here.

  • 2002: In South Africa, taught and led PBL sessions and taught the PT/OT community therapists on Rehab of Oncology Patients
  • 2000: Presented in Bangkok Thailand at the International Self Care Deficit conference
  • 2000, 1999, 1998: Greek Council Outstanding Faculty Award
  • 1999: Campus Life faculty award "Crossing the Boundaries Circle" for student collaboration outside of the classroom
  • 1998: Campus Excellence in Education
  • 1998: Global Scholar to Republic of Georgia to consult on rehab issues and community accessibility
