Honoring GERALD W. BROWNING, PHD, PT for dedicating 40 years to the field of Physical Therapy
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Health Professions is proud to announce a campaign to endow the Gerald W Browning, PhD, PT, Scholarship in Physical Therapy. This scholarship was created to recognize and honor Dr. Browning's contribution to the School of Health Professions and service in the field of Physical Therapy.
Established in 1993, this scholarship assists professional students in the Department of Physical Therapy. As chairperson of the department from 1973 to 1993, Dr. Browning was instrumental in establishing MU's national reputation for excellence in Physical Therapy education.
The University of Missouri-Columbia School of Health Professions invites private support from department alumni, students, colleagues and friends to this honored scholarship. It is a tangible way for those who have benefited from Dr. Browning's professional excellence to express appreciation.
I n 1993, Dr. Browning was appointed Associate Director of the School of Health Professions and has assisted with numerous administrative projects. Included is the development of the SHarP Scholars program, designed to attract talented high school students through early admission to the School. Dr. Browning has also been a key figure in the establishment of a student and faculty exchange program with the University of Western Cape, South Africa.
Your gift to the Gerald W Browning, PhD, PT, Scholarship will enable the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Health Professions to assist professional students in the Department of Physical Therapy, thereby assuring a lasting gift to his legacy for many generations to come.

The Gerald w: Browning, PhD, PT, Scholarship endowment fund is a permanent, or perpetual, fund for which the University of Missouri System Board of Curators serves as trustee.
