Research Interests:

Physical Therapy to normalize muscle tone and the effect this has on balance, motor development, and gait.

Biography:
Jeff hails from Dotyville, Wisconsin.
He is a 1991graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Clinical Experience
:

  • Three years in rehabilitation setting in Milwaukee primarily as part of a Traumatic Brain Injury team including a year as the PT in the Neurobehavioral Unit for treatment of socially unacceptable behaviors resulting from brain injury.
  • Three years as neuro PT at Rusk Rehabilitation Center in Columbia.
  • One year as Home Health PT in Central Missouri.
  • Three years in rural clinic, primarily in pediatrics (in home, outpatient, and school-based settings).
  • Full-time faculty at MU since January 2001. Provided instruction at MU during TBI section of Adult Neuro from 1995 through 2000.

Presentations:

  • Has been a presenter and participant in conferences regarding spasticity management in adults with neurologic injury in New York, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City.
  • Presented at Marland - Delaware AgrAbility conference, Dec. 2003: "Farming with Arthritis"

Currently pursuing PhD in Neuroscience at MU.
