Biography:
Andrea is a native of Arkansas and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

She earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1992 from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Andrea worked as a small animal clinician for ten years.

She has been involved in research part time since September 2001 and joined full time in September of 2002. She is currently investigating changes in muscle function and bone in an animal model of prolonged bed rest and space flight.
