Dr. Laura Schopp

Laura Schopp, PhD, ABPP, is a board-certified neuropsychologist specializing in adult neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology. She is an Associate Professor in the MU Department of Health Psychology, and conducts research on traumatic brain injury, telerehabilitation and disability informatics. She has served as the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator of a number of research projects from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, and has completed NIH fellowships in both neuropsychology research and health informatics. She has been the recipient of several national awards, such as the Mary Switzer research fellowship from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, as well as the Young Investigator Award from the Brain Injury Association of the United States. She is currently the Principal Investigator of the Missouri Model Spinal Cord Injury System and the disAbility Spin Disability Informatics Initiative. She recently served as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Missouri Psychological Association, and on the Telehealth Implementation Work Group of the American Psychological Association, and is currently serving on the Committee on Rural Health for the American Psychological Association. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts, as well as other chapters and manuscripts.
