The Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) program at MU leads to a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Laboratory Science with an emphasis in Medical Technology. The CLS program has recently been reactivated to meet the growing demands of Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientists in Missouri and beyond. The program requires three years of pre-requisite coursework, including 16 hours of biology and 16 hours of chemistry. Once in the program, students will spend 11 weeks at the University of Nebraska's Medical Center in Omaha to begin their coursework and laboratory introduction and rotations. Upon returning to Columbia, students will complete the coursework online through University of Nebraska's Blackboard course management system. The Clinical Laboratory Science Program requires 39 credit hours once students begin the program.
