Michael Armstrong, M.A., received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After beginning his graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, he moved to Los Angeles and received his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from UCLA. His research background includes behavior testing with Parkinson's patients, systems and behavioral based research of new antidepressants, and research in schizophrenia at many levels, including anatomical, genetic, social, and neuropsychological. This research culiminated in his master's thesis investigating a genetic association between learning and memory in schizophrenic patients and a gene on Chromosome 22. In addition to his background in neuropsychological and behavioral testing, Michael has worked several years as a teacher, clinical therapist, and academic advisor, both at the MU and UCLA.
